We start our bicycle tour from the railway station of Szabadkígyós. The station is located far from the village, in this case although we start from Szabadkígyós we still visit the sights of the city in the end of the tour. Leaving the railway, we reach a T junction on the Szabadkígyós-Gyula highway. Here we turn right toward to Gyula.

Gyula lays about 10 km away from the intersection. After visiting the castle we leave the city north direction through Nagyváradi Street towards Doboz. After 3 km we reach the bank of the Körös River and beside it we ride to the Dobozi Bridge, which crosses the river and leads us to Doboz.

After the bridge we turn left in the direction of Békéscsaba. We reach the city after  8 km of riding. This is a typical city in Alföld, it is worth to spend some time in the city center.

Cycling further, we leave Csaba on Orosházi Road. After a semicircle, after 12 km we reach Újkígyós until the next settlement. From here it is only a few kilometers away from Szabadkígyós. The main attraction of the town is the Wenckheim Castle.

Heading towards Gyula, we leave the village on our left hand and we pass by the Wenckheim crypt. Soon we will come to an intersection. At the beginning of our tour we turned here towards Békéscsaba, but now we come back straight to the starting point as we turn right.
