In spite of the fact that the surface of this area is quite difficult, this tour is offered for beginners, as well. We start in Keszthely. We leave from the Bordás Vince Walkway; it is next to the Station. The walkway itself is a part of the cycle path at Lake Balaton. So, riding on this path, at the Alsógyenes Beach we have to turn towards North at the roundabout where the Faludi Street is. If we go till the end of this street we will find the borders of the village and from here a short dirt road leads us to another surfaced road.
There are lower or higher uphills and slopes till the Büdöskúti resting place. However, some km-s before the forestry surfaced road, at a T junction we turn right towards Vállus.
Although there come some uphill, near Várvölgy, Lesencék (Lesencefalu and Lesencetomaj) we can see a beautiful landscape with vineyards and thick forests.
At Tapolca, the most important sights are Tavas Cave and Mill Lake. Next to the Saint George Hill we ride down to Szigliget. Then on the cycle path towards Balatonederics, Balatongyörök, Vonyarcvashegy, Gyenesdiás, we go gome. Finally, it is worth to visit the African Museum at Balatonederics, which is Dr. Endre Nagy’s legacy.
